Salman Khan will star opposite Sonam Kapoor in Sooraj Barjatya's family entertainer. The film also stars Neil Nitin Mukesh, Swara Bhaskar, Deepak Dobriyal, Armaan Kohli and Anupam Kher in key roles.
The film's trailer will be out with Akshay Kumar's 'Singh Is Bliing' on October 2, while the film is slated to release this Diwali.
Meanwhile, Ameesha's production 'Desi Magic' has been postponed due to delay in shooting. The actress was recently spotted at a photo shoot for the film.

Akshay Kumar: Comedy heroes do not get their due in industry

Akshay Kumar, whose filmography boasts of hit comedies like 'Hera Pheri', 'Welcome' and 'Singh is Kinng', says comedy stars do not get their due in the film industry.

"I love comedy. It is a difficult genre to do but unfortunately comic hero doesn't get his due in this industry because we look down on it," the actor said in an interview here.
Akshay is admired by fans and critics for his remarkable on-screen comic timing but the superstar feels an actor does not get the deserved recognition until he or she does romantic and heavy-duty movies.
"Unless you do romance and tragedy, you don't get best actor award. If you are making people laugh, it looks like buffoonery. It's very sad that this happens," he said.
"Long back Amitabh Bachchan sir did comedy in 'Desh Premi'. He used to do hero's role as well as the comedy. Even Kishore Kumar sir used to do it. There are very a few people who did it and so I just followed it," he said.
The 48-year-old actor added he is happy to see comedians getting a lot of work in movies and on television now.
"They (comedians) have a lot of work, there are 180 films made every year...there are a lot of TV shows happening and there is comedy in ads nowadays."
Akshay is back with a light hearted film 'Singh is Bliing', which also stars Amy Jackson, Lara Dutta and Kay Kay Menon.
The 'Baby' star was keen on having Lara in the movie. The two have earlier worked together in the actress' debut 'Andaz', 'Housefull', 'Bhaagam Bhaag' and others.
"I requested her to come and be a part of our film. The whole story is that Amy Jackson (other co-star) does not know how to speak Hindi and I don't know how to speak English and our romance starts but there is communication gap."
Praising Amy, Akshay said, "She is one of the best fighters that I have come across as a heroine, and she is beautiful."
For 'Singh is Bliing', Akshay shot with a Lion and the actors calls the scene as the biggest stunt in the movie.
"I shot with a lion and that is the biggest stunt. I am not fighting with him... he is just sitting behind my car, he has got a huge face," he said.
"The lion's name is Mufasa, a full grown lion... He is very loving but you are taking a risk sitting with him," he added.
The film, directed by Prabhudheva, is set to release on October 2.

Sonam Kapoor – I’ll Never Talk About My Relationships

Actress Sonam Kapoor, known for speaking her mind without any fear, says she is completely against the idea of opening up about her personal life as it takes the focus away from her work.
“I will never talk about my relationships in print. I don’t think that’s appropriate, so I never will. I am not hesitant, but I am completely against talking about my relationships to the press because I think it takes away the focus from your work and the focus changes,” the actress told IANS over telephone from Mumbai.
Sonam Kapoor doesn’t wants to go public about her relationships

The actress, who launched the L’Oréal Paris ‘Change Your Shampoo, Change Your Hair’ campaign through a unique video on break-ups in Mumbai, has had her fair share of link-ups with Bollywood men including Ranbir Kapoor and Punit Malhotra.
Sonam, who has often faced flak for her frank opinions, asserts that the decision to keep her personal life under wraps has not stemmed from any of her past experiences but has been her stand since she joined Bollywood.
“It’s a stand I have taken in the very beginning of my career, so I will never ever talk about who is in my life and what my personal life is like.”
She may not talk about her personal life but “I can give an advise that how a break up works and how break up doesn’t work”, said the daughter of actor Anil Kapoor.
Sonam has much-awaited films in her kitty like “Prem Ratan Dhan Payo” and “Neerja”.

Here’s Why Fawad Khan Won’t Do Intimate Scenes!

Fawad Khan
Source: Tumblr.com
Fawad Khan recently opened up about his discomfort in doing intimate scenes on-screen toFilmfare. The actor, who made our ovaries explode (quite literally), is not really into showing his sexy moves in front of the camera. Here’s what he said about his firm stance and Pakistan’s sensibilities –
See, doing intimate scenes is something I’m uncomfortable with right now. I’ve mentioned that a couple of times before as well. Because it will not appeal to the sensibilities of my audience back home. I have to go back and work there. I won’t be a girgit (chameleon) and change my colours just because I’m working here. Well, that’s my point of view.
Well, we have our imagination so it’s okay Fawad, don’t be a girgit!

5 quotes from the Tamasha trailer launch that proves Ranbir Kapoor and Deepika Padukone still care for each other!

5 quotes from the Tamasha trailer launch that proves Ranbir Kapoor and Deepika Padukone still care for each other!

Can we sense some vestigial feelings there?

Ranbir Kapoor and Deepika Padukone’s short-lived romance is now a part of Bollywood folklore, but unlike a few other broken up ex-couples, they have never let their history come in the way of their working assignments.
Indeed, one of their best films together, which was also one of their biggest hits, Yeh Jawaani Hai Deewani, came after they broke up. Ranbir Kapoor and Deepika Padukone are now rumoured to be dating Katrina Kaif and Ranveer Singh, but that doesn’t prevent them sharing a warm bond on and off screen. While we saw more than glimpses of the same in the trailer, we also managed to see them between the two stars during the trailer launch.

Here are five quotes from Ranbir and Deepika that evokes a sense of deja vu.
1. Ranbir Kapoor: My chemistry with Deepika is very good. It also depends on the film and the film’s success. I am happy that people have liked our pairing!
Here’s the actor admitting that what he shared with his ex was a good thing. But he also put in a disclaimer in there, that it also depends on the film and its success.
2. Ranbir Kapoor: I would like to relive the success of Yeh Jawani Hai Deewani with Deepika.
To which, Deepika replies: I have to agree but I would like to relive the Tamashaexperience too!
Sure, YJHD was one of Ranbir’s biggest hits, and it came via his pairing with Deepika. But Deepika has more than box office success in mind, when she said she wants to relive the yet unreleased Tamasha experience. That means they both did have a great time shooting together!
3. Ranbir Kapoor: It’s not fair to label someone as a lucky charm. She (Deepika) has achieved a lot and I hope her luck rubs off on me than my on hers!
Complimenting his currently far more successful co-star, is truly a sign of maturity! Ranbir, we admire you for that!
4. Deepika Padukone: He has everything. I would give him blessings on his birthday!
Though Ranbir and Imtiaz Ali, joked on the above statement later, that he would prefer cash or cheque as gift, it’s a proof that Deepika has nothing but good wishes for her ex, even after a tumultuous past!
5. Ranbir Kapoor: Deepika has grown a lot over the years, we haven’t worked for a long and I enjoyed Tamasha!
That’s actually a summary of what he had spoken about her previously!

Kapil Sharma was scared of doing romance in Kis Kisko Pyaar Karoon!

Kapil Sharma was scared of doing romance in Kis Kisko Pyaar Karoon!

He will be seen romancing Elli Avram, Manjari Phadnis, Simran Kaur Mundi and Sai Lokurwords.

Comedian Kapil Sharma, who is venturing into Bollywood with his debut film Kis Kisko Pyaar Karoon, says he was initially scared of doing romance on the screen.
He will be seen romancing Elli Avram, Manjari Phadnis, Simran Kaur Mundi and Sai Lokurwords in the comedy entertainer, but Kapil says he wasn’t confident about doing romance onscreen.
“With my debut film, people were expecting that my film will have out-and-out comedy… yes, there is comedy, but there are some new elements in the film too. I am doing romance.

“I was a little scared doing romance in the beginning because I thought we are shooting in Rajasthan and these ladies are somebody’s daughter and sister. But then I was told that this is just for acting,” Kapil told reporters during the film’s promotion here.
The actor added that the movie is “made for the audience, who have a lot of expectations”.
Kapil stressed on the fact that he wanted his “dream debut” film to be a “clean comedy film”.
“When I met Abbas-Mustan (the film’s directors), I told them comedy can easily go below the belt… but I would want the film to be clean so that the film can be a complete family entertainer. And Abbas-Mustan sirs replied that they too want a clean comedy film,” Kapil said.
Produced by Ratan Jain, Ganesh Jain and Abbas-Mustan under their banner Venus Records and Tapes Pvt Ltd in association with Abbas Mustan Films Productions Pvt. Ltd., the film will release on Friday.

The trailer for Imtiaz Ali‘s Tamasha is out and it’s so amazing. Ranbir Kapoor and Deepika Padukone are absolutely fabulous in this movie which is not the same, old and simple love story, but a rather complicated one – filled with a lot of tamasha!

So Cute! Deepika Padukone Receives A Special Gift!

Deepika Padukone
Deepika Padukone
Deepika Padukone is unarguably the reigning queen of Bollywood. From commercial potboilers like Race 2 and breezy rom-coms like Yeh Jawaani Hai Deewani to dramatic love sagas likeRam-Leela and slice-of-life cinema like Piku – this actress has proved her mettle time and again with each of her outings in the last couple of years.
On the personal front, her bond with Ranveer Singh never ceases to give us #RelationshipGoals. Plus, she seldom thinks twice before standing up for the right causes. DP is the perfect blend of beauty, brains, strength and elegance. So it is only natural that she is loved by one and all and her fans dote on her!
It doesn’t come as a surprise that her admirers flocked around her when she visited Pune for the song launch of Gajanana from Bajirao Mastani. Being the sweetheart that she is, DP interacted with them and also obliged them with autographs and photographs. During this interaction, one of her fans came up to her and gifted her something that instantly made her smile. Guess what was it? Well, it was her favourite dish – rasam and rice.
Not to mention, DP was truly touched by this gesture and couldn’t stop thanking the person who got it for her. Aww!

The song is sung by Rahat Fateh Ali Khan, and if you’re suffering heartbreak or missing someone, it’ll strike a chord with you. Take a look:

"I am just 22 and I think 32 will be right age to taste the wedding pulav. I have not tasted 'shaadi ka ladoo', so I hopefully will not regret," Alia said at the launch.
Speaking about the qualities she would look for in her groom, Alia said she wants him to have a good sense of humour.
"He must make me laugh, then obviously comes good looks, good looks and good looks," she said.
"I will not tell how to impress me, the person who loves me should know how to impress me," she added.
Asked about her emotional outburst after watching Karan Malhotra directorial "Brothers", she said: "I did not cry but I am a very sensitive girl and, yes, sometimes I get emotional. When there is high emotion, I get shaken and get emotional about films as well."

Shraddha Kapoor: Grandparents are real treasures of our lives

Actress Shraddha Kapoor feels times spent with grandparents are like "treasures" in life.

The "ABCD 2" star lost her maternal grandfather Pandit Pandharinath Kolhapure recently.
"Grand parents are the real treasures of our lives. And when they go... They make sure they leave behind a part of themselves, in you. I feel so blessed to have spent so many years, growing up, with them. The memories will always be the most special treasures... Forever.
"And for all the lucky ones out there who still have their nana-nanis, dada-dadis, give them your time," Shraddha, 26, posted on Twitter.
The actress' grandfather, who died last weekend, was a renowned classical singer.
"My beloved nana, Pandit Pandharinath Kolhapure, passed away very peacefully a few days ago. He spread magic through his music & greatness. Thank you all for your wishes and messages. Him and my nani taught our family the meaning of being rooted and together," she added.

When fears and insecurities affected actors' film preferences

Imran Khan has apparently opted out of an 'Force 2' as he prefers to keep away from daring manoeuvres. We list other Bollywood stars and their inhibitions...
From enacting quixotic stunts to gyrating around snow-capped mountains in barely-there clothes, many unbelievable stuff are part of an actor's job.
Imran Khan had been offered to play the parallel lead in John Abraham and Sonakshi Sinha-starrer Force 2, but he is rumoured to have walked out of the project. pic/pti

And in doing so, the actor comes face to face with his/ her inhibitions. Some take it in their stride while others fight shy of it. Imran Khan belongs to the latter category. He was supposed to feature as a baddie in the upcoming sequel of the 2011 action flick, 'Force', starring John Abraham and Sonakshi Sinha starrer. But he has apparently opted out of the film and 'Mardaani' actor Tahir Raj Bhasin has replaced him.
Now, Imran is known to be not exactly comfortable doing high-octane action sequences. Though he has been part of films like 'Kidnap' (2008) and 'Luck' (2009) that had stunts, the actor preferred to steer clear of them.
Many actors have their reservations about doing certain things on screen. hitlist takes a look at some other stars and their insecurities or fears...
Stunts make her jump
Another star who avoids actioneers like the plague is Kareena Kapoor. After her 2012 film 'Agent Vinod', Bebo had declared that she would not do an action flick again.
Kareena Kapoor
Kareena Kapoor is scared of doing high-octane action scenes
The actress, who considers herself a diehard romantic, finds no fun in stunts. She is terrified of car chase sequences, gunshots and hanging mid-air. Bebo loves doing glam roles, but since she has become script wise of late, she might do a rethink about high-octane stuff.
Have feet, won't dance
Ajay Devgn balanced himself on two bikes in his debut flick 'Phool Aur Kaante' (1991) and continued the act in the 'Golmaal' franchise, even riding astride two horses in 'Son Of Sardaar' (2013). But put him on the dance floor and he gets the heebie-jeebies. It is well known that Devgn has two left feet. The actor had sportingly accepted Prabhu Dheva's challenge for a face-off in 'Action Jackson' (2014) despite his inadequacies, but his efforts fell flat.

Ajay Devgan, John Abraham and Salman Khan are known to have two left feet, but have not allowed their amusing dancing skills become their Achilles' heel
Salman Khan and John Abraham are two other actors who would rather be off the dance floor. Sallu is known to never rehearse for a dance act like his contemporaries do for days together before the camera starts rolling. He matches steps just before the shoot begins and improvises too.
Salman Khan

John, on the other hand, is more comfortable displaying his bulging biceps and six-pack abs than putting his dancing skills to test. The actor would not mind hanging mid-air from a plane, but staying grounded and grooving to music is just not his forte.

Tress control
Katrina Kaif is quite fussy about her hair. If you go through her filmography, what remains constant, besides her English accent, is her straight flowing mane. The actress prefers to be repetitive when it comes to hairstyles, with just perhaps a curl here and there. Kat feels no other look suits her and is too scared to experiment. It must have been a daunting task for director Abhishek Kapoor to get her to colour her mane red for the upcoming film, 'Fitoor'.

No silence, please
Sunny Deol can't do anything that does not involve venting out his ire in his typical brawny style. The actor stays away from silent, brooding characters since he likes to be loud and clear. His trademark yelling is what sets him apart from other actors.

Saif Ali Khan: Katrina very passionate about her work.

After working with her in 2008 film 'Race', actor Saif Ali Khan has teamed up with Katrina Kaif for upcoming political thriller 'Phantom'. He says not much has changed about her, especially her commitment to work.

Asked about Katrina's performance in the film, Saif said: "It was very good. We are working together after 'Race' (2008). She is still the same... very passionate about her work and committed."
"In the film she is performing some daring stunts and she really worked hard for them. I am happy that she chose 'Phantom'," he added.
Directed by Kabir Khan, the film is about the post 26/11 attacks in Mumbai and global terrorism. It will release on August 28.
